The NAACP of Ozaukee County kicks off Black History Month with a virtual event series called “1-On-1 with Corporate Leaders.” Janette Braverman, Branch President stated, “This series is part of our month long celebration to highlight the achievements of organizations and leaders at the forefront of diversity and inclusion efforts. In addition, we will spotlight the achievements of African Americans that have played a major role in U.S. history through communications on various platforms.” 

The weekly series will launch on February 8 with Jodi Gibson, President and CEO of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee (ZSM). Jodi will share the ongoing efforts of ZSM to improve its commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Ed Magee, the Executive Vice President for Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (Los Angeles, CA) will also share their efforts on February 15. Ed is responsible for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning and Distribution for the Fender portfolio of products. Magee was formerly the General Manager for Harley-Davidson’s York Vehicle Operations. 

Ernest Nicolas, Sr. Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain and Chief Supply Chain Officer for Rockwell Automation will close out the series on February 22. He will be sharing how Rockwell has taken their diversity initiatives to the next level. Ernest has accountability for functions including: Logistics and Customer Care, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Strategic Sourcing and Workplace Services, and Supply Chain Strategy. 

The live virtual sessions are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CST and all sessions are open to the public, however registration is required.
